

Thelma was a homemaker until all her children started school. She went to work for GCCISD food service and retired after 20 years of service. She and her husband of 47 years, John Lee Wilson, loved to travel and they did so for 10 years. Thelma passed in Rosepine, Louisiana where she resided with her youngest daughter Nancy Simmons.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Wilson; her oldest son Thomas Paul Wilson; her parents, Henry and Mary Staffa; and her sister, Wilma Sirocka.
She is survived by four children: Kathleen and Donald Tassin, John R and Tina Wilson, Joseph J. and Sandra Wilson, and Nancy and Burn Simmons.
Along with the five children, Thelma is survived by ten grandchildren: Bryan Wilson & wife Sandra, Tiffanie Young & husband Joseph, Kerey Tassin, Jeremy Tassin & wife Tara, Johnathan Wilson & wife Brandy, Bradley Wilson & wife Maricela, Christopher Wilson & wife Jennifer, Jason Wilson & wife Katie, Barrett Simmons & wife Bethany, Brittany Hansen & husband Justin; sixteen great-grandchildren: Nakaih Wilson, Kai Wilson, Sebastian Wilson, Keenan Wilson, Dean Tassin, Misty Wilson, Jason Wilson & wife Hope, Cayman Wilson, William Wilson, Madison Wilson, Seth Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Eden Simmons, Elijah Simmons, Haven Hansen, Lincoln Hansen, and one great-great-grandchild: Harlie. She is also survived by one sister, Geraldine Krampota and numerous nieces and nephews. She was greatly loved and is missed by all.
