OBITUARY

Tommy Vivian Rochelle

April 16, 1942November 23, 2018

Tommy “Bubba” Rochelle passed away November 23, 2018, in New Braunfels, Texas, at the age of 76. His sister was by his side. Tommy will be cremated.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Judy Rochelle.

Tommy moved to River Gardens in New Braunfels in 2008. The time spent at River Gardens was the happiest in his life. He made many new friends, had an active social life, attended classes daily and participated in local activities. He was very proud to show family members the campus at River Gardens.

He was devoted to his mother and helped care for her during the last year of her life.

Tommy was a blessing to his family. The smallest gesture would make him smile. The highlight of each year was when he flew alone from San Antonio to Denver, Colorado, to be with the family for the Christmas holidays. The comment, ‘If you knew Bubba, you loved Bubba’ fit him perfectly.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Wayne Arnett; niece and her husband, Tiffany and Ken Regan, from Colorado; nephew and his wife, Alton and Sarah Arnett, from Colorado. Great nephews, Cameron Arnett from Baytown; and Jacob Regan, from California. Great nieces, Kaitlyn and her husband Alex Killian, from Colorado; Lexi Vanderhill from Alabama; and Kelsie Vanderhill, from Colorado.

The family will welcome friends and family for visitation Saturday, December 15, 2018, at their home to celebrate Tommy’s life. You are welcome to share your thoughts and prayers for Tommy.

We have been thinking about you and Wayne. The Sarver and Rochelle families grew up together and there are so many memories.....from our parents playing dominos all hours of the night, to building the river houses on the Trinity River. So many fun memories and Bubba was right there with us. Prayers to you and Wayne. Love you guys!

To the family of Tommy (Bubba) Rochelle, my sincere condolences and prayers for this family. I remember Bubba from many years ago, when we were younger. He always had a smile on his face, was funny, and considered a part of my family.

I remember Tommy always had a big nice smile, just like your dad! We had lots of good times at your house in Baytown.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Bubba. What a gentleman he was. I remember the strong hands. When we would shake hands he would do it with great conviction. He was a good friend and neighbor to both my mother and I.

Prayfully

I always enjoyed our time at the river when all the families were there. One of the big highlights for me was when Bubba had his scooter there and would give us kids rides out on the dirt roads. He was always so friendly and fun to be around.
Prayers are lifted for the family at this time of loss and sorrow.
