

Trula first became a candy striper and then a stay home mom for many years. In the late 70’s she went to Lee College and became a nurse. She worked many years as a labor and delivery nurse at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. She finished out her career as a school nurse for Barbers Hill School District.
Trula was married to Rex Dickson the love of her life, who passed away on October 29, 2020, for 63 years. They had a beach house for many years in Crystal Beach and she loved to read a book at the beach. They also had a lake house in Onalaska where they fished all of the time. They both loved to gamble and go on cruises. She loved to dress up and go to Shriner dances with Rex. She was known as a wonderful cook. Everyone loved her desserts especially her pecan pies. Also her Christmas fried apricot pies. They were together for more than 63 years and being away from each other for 14 months was too long for her and she was called to rejoin him in heaven.
Trula is proceeded in death by her Husband Rex Dickson. She is also proceeded in death by her parents Ollie and Ondine, her brothers Teeny, Joe, John and Paul and also their infant son Randy Dickson.
She is survived by her three children. Rodney Dickson and his wife Tara, Scott Dickson and Tammy Waters and her husband Robert Waters. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Bouvier of Terrytown Louisiana.
Surviving grandchildren include Tiffany Bowden and her husband Chris. Robby Dickson and his wife Afton. Randy Dickson and his wife Shayna. Ryan Dickson, Kristi Waters and Kayla Waters. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to their granddaughter Kristi Waters for taking such great care of Rex and Trula over the past years. They are so proud she followed in her grandmothers footsteps and became a nurse also.
A private visitation was held by the family at Navarre Funeral Home.
