Uletta Timmins Floyd, 101, of Baytown, passed away peacefully at home in Longview, Texas where she has lived for the last 5 years. She was born October 21, 1923 in Baytown to her late parents, Edward and Lillian Timmins.
Uletta lived the majority of her life as a resident of the Baytown area, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1942, was a member of First Baptist Church in Baytown for almost 80 years, and retired from Goose Creek ISD after 30+ years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 73 years, Robert Wilson Floyd; their son, Robert Lanxon Floyd and her siblings, Clarence Timmins, Meta Schulz, Harold Timmins, Romilly Timmins, and Edwin Timmins.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Lesa Floyd Schwartz and her husband, Bob; “daughter”, Elizabeth Timmins Bunting and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Lindsay Nordyke and her husband, David; Taylor Floyd and his wife, Alexandria; Macky Bunting and his wife, Jessica, Stacy Zook and her husband, Drew and Joshua Bunting and his wife, Ashley; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Lylie Morris and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rollingbrook Fellowship, Baytown, Texas -Robert and Uletta Floyd Scholarship Fund.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 12th at Navarre Funeral Home with a service to follow in the Chapel with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Macky Bunting, Taylor Floyd, Joshua Bunting, David Nordyke, Drew Zook, Robert Bunting and Bob Schwartz.
