Tina and I met at Eagle Shield, Inc. Arlington, Tx. (early 90's ?)We worked in different departments, but one day we ended up eating lunch at the same table. We laughed (about what she did not like about Texas). We became friends and later ended up living in the same apartment complex.
She was one of the sweetest people that I have ever met...."good people", as my family says. We have not seen each other in years, but my heart hurts. Luckily we were able to communicate via Facebook this last year. Rest in heaven sweet friend....I am so sorry for not being there to say good bye to you. God bless you Kevin, Jasmine and Kourtney.

I remember getting a call to interview for a student worker position and as soon as I walked in Mrs. Val said well you sure are pretty. We talked and talked and she said " you are smart too". She hired me on the spot and since that day Val became my mentor, my biggest cheerleader, self esteem builder, advocate, and a mother away from home. Val told me how I reminded her of Jasmine and She would always share their accomplishments with me through their middle school and with school days. She loved her family and would do anything them. You all still have a precious gem that she left with you all and I pray that you feel her presence always and forever.
Val there is a piece of my heart missing and I just wish we could have shared one last memory.
Love always Mal 😘

Valentina, Val - The sweetest you could ever know.
I met Val at Pro-Line International and she was a joy to work with. I remember in 2007 when I was going through chemo for breast cancer, she was so uplifting and caring. Always thinking of others. She will be missed.
Rest on Val! We love you!
To the family; they say time heals all wounds, even if it doesn't feel like it. I pray for peace, healing and love for you all. Be blessed.

Tina came home for the 1st time wearing some white go-go boots. She was fashionable like that. She liked to wear lipgloss. One of her fave pictures was of herself in a leopard print swimsuit. BAM! She put it on the fridge after she had children.
Tina was pretty, shapely, funny and smart. A sister more than an in-law. All of life shared with her was worth it. We loved each other and I am glad of that.
Tina could be fussy too. I pray the she has been carried by the angels wearing her leopard swimsuit, white go-go boots and plenty of lip gloss. I pray for the Angel that carried her. He will need heaven's help if one feather got stuck n her lip gloss. I love you Tina.

Oh sweet Tina!!! Couldn't imagine my childhood without you. Remembering all the times running in your neighborhood from Frog man, going to Evans street swimming pool, the corner store just to name a few.
You will always have a very special place in my heart. Still can't believe you are gone. You was just at my dad's funeral last year this is so unrealistic.
God wanted to sweeten up his Heavenly home so he called you. It will never be another sweeter person & beautiful soul. Just remember you was so loved. Missing you always & forever treasuring our oh so fun memories growing up.
We loved playing upstairs at your house. & you coming spending time at ours. Forever holding our beautiful memories close to heart!!

Love you Val....

To the family I met Mrs. Valentina some 9 years ago when she started working here at Texas Southern University. What a beautiful person inside and out. I would always see her in the hallways and she would always have that beautiful smile. She always called me whenever something was needed and you needed help doing something. She would say Ms. Miles you know I'm calling because you will get it taken care of we would always share a laugh together. I did not know that she was sick until maybe some months ago because I missed the phone calls and missed seeing her. One day she happen to call me because she was working from home and I told her that I had been missing her and that's when she told me that she had been sick and had cancer. I told her that I would be praying for her and I put her on our church wall of prayer and our Sunday School class had been praying for her. When my mother passed 3 years ago she sent me an email expressing her condolences and she saw me in the hall some weeks later after I came back to work and just gave me a big hug and told me that she was praying for me and that really made my day. A good solider has done spreaded her wings. God takes the best and she was one of them. So to her family look to the hills from whence cometh your help your help cometh from the Lord. May God give you peace in this time. Remember all the good memories that you shared. She is not gone she will always be in your spirit. I will add the Pitre Family to our church pray wall. May God bless you all.

I remember the first time I met, Tina. It was at Lake Charles Boston High in 1985 in shorthand class. She was an upperclassman and I was a sophomore and I remember admiring her impeccable style. I had never seen a student where high heels to school before. I thought she was beautiful both inside and out. Tina, your smile and style touched and inspired many people throughout the years and you will be forever missed.
