Vera Hildegard Davis

Vera Hildegard Bushing Davis, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Baytown, TX at the age of 102. She was born in Eagle Springs, TX on May 21, 1909 to Henry and Abeline Spross Bushing. She graduated from McGreggor High School and became a teacher. She married Harlin Davis on April 6, 1935 and they moved to Baytown, Texas where he was employed by Mobil.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Harlin Davis and her daughter, JoAnn Wall. She is survived by her daughter, Harlene Brady, her grandchildren, Lisa LaFour, Ken Flowers, Wendell Martin, and Celeste Wall, nine great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 12:00 to 2:00 at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00. Pallbearers are Ken Flowers, Shelby Flowers, Wendell Martin, Larry Ashley, James LaFour, and Wendell Wall. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
