

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 30,1940. Ginny was a woman whose life was woven with love, resilience, strength and laughter. Her legacy will live on through her children and granddaughter.
Ginny lived in Mansfield, Ohio for many years with love of her life Dennis Dean Kurbad, AKA Dink before relocating to Baytown, Texas in 1980. She was always in the grocery business and made many friends along the way. Ginny was a dedicated employee and Store Director with Food Town for 20 years until having to retire in 2018 for health reasons. She loved what she did and was forever grateful for The Lewis families support of her.
Ginny was known for her love of her family, friends, Food Town Family, Waterford Community and her Houston sports teams and Ohio State. She would watch any sport at any time but her love for Houston teams was unmatched. Ginny also enjoyed spending time playing cards, bingo, and quality time with family.
She was a ray of sunshine for everyone that crossed her path, and to know her is to love her, she truly was one of a kind. Ginny was always head strong and determined in everything that she did. Her resilience through various life challenges, hard work ethic, kindness, and caring heart is something that will live on forever. She walked closely with the Lord radiating his love and kindness to all. She now rests in the arms of the Savior she loved so dearly.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis D. Kurbad, parents Lorraine J. Bechtel and Phillip A. Hodges and son-in-law Von E. Young. She is survived by her daughters Dawn Young and Heidi Kurbad, son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Lori Kurbad, granddaughter Taylor Kurbad-Veal and her husband Derion Veal. She is also survived by sisters Barb Dykstra, Bonnie Cochran and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, Friday, October 24th from 5-7. Her funeral service will be held at Navarre, Saturday October 25th, starting at 10am. Burial will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery. All are welcomed.
We will miss her more than words can express and will carry her memory in our hearts forever. She will ALWAYS be the sunshine of our lives.
