Vivian Marie Brock Samway (aka Bono), a very long-time resident of Baytown, died on Wednesday 27 June 2012, after 95 years that saw her transform from country girl to city woman. She was a carhop at Morrell's, an employee and model for Goose Creek Photography, wrote letters for Humble Refinery executives, fell in love with a couple of World War II flyboys, hunted wild turkeys, caught fish in Trinity Bay, raised two children, traveled the world, lived in the Philippines and Japan, and shaped the lives of five grandchildren. We cherish the time we had with her and love her very much. -- Bob, Norma, Kyl, Laura, Courtney, Colin, and Peter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack R. Samway and parents, Henry and Agnes Brock.
