Weaver Foster Jr.
May 1, 1933 – July 24, 2018
Weaver Foster Jr. 85 went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2018. Weaver was born in Clawson, Texas on May 1, 1933. Weaver served in the US Navy from February 6, 1952 until January 27, 1956. Weaver had traveled the world aboard the USS Heermann during the Korean War. Weaver married the love of his life Ruth on September 17, 1955. They lived happily together until her passing on January 5, 2017. Weaver was a devoted husband and father of 2 children. Weaver worked for Brown & Root for 35 years where he was a welder/pipefitter. He did a lot of volunteer work during his lifetime. He was a Scout Master of the Boy Scouts, a member of the Denver Harbor CB Club (where he was known as “The Texas Water Bucket”). Weaver was also a member of the West Baytown Civic Association and The Baytown Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Weaver volunteered his time helping out with National Night Out, Crime Stoppers, The DARE Program, 4th of July Parade and the Christmas parades here in Baytown. Weaver also built a BBQ pit for the DARE Program. He also helped out by painting over graffiti in the Baytown area. In 1999 Weaver won The Jefferson Awards. When you would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply “Broke, Tired and Good Looking” That was one of his favorite sayings.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Marion.
Weaver is survived by his son, Weaver Foster III and wife Toni; his daughter, Marion Abling and husband Jeff; grandson, Nicholas White; great-granddaughter, Izabella Zenner; sister, Pauline Honeycutt; and brother, Joe Foster and wife Cheryl. Other family members include: Keith Foster, Maddison Givens, JT Givens, Katy Givens, Morgan Rogers, Nikkie Rogers, Anna Rogers, Josh Abling, Jonathan Abling and Jenna Abling. Weaver also has numerous nieces and nephews. Weaver was a great Husband, Father and Friend and he will be deeply missed by all.
Viewing will be on July 31, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road in Baytown. Services will be held at Earthman Funeral Home on August 1, 2018 at 10 AM. Burial to follow services where Weaver will be laid to rest, with Military Honors, at Forest Park East Cemetery 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas
