William Christensen, 56, of Baytown departed this world after a long courageous bout with cancer on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was born June 28, 1956 in Pasadena, TX to Edward A., Jr. and Marjorie Christensen. He attended Ross S. Sterling High School and shortly after high school he joined the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Marquetia Christensen; daughter, Melanie Christensen; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tiffany Christensen; and his grandchildren, Brielle and Jake Christensen. He is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Sundbeck; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marianne and Cliff Johnston and Deborah and Ricky Cox; brothers and sister-in-law, Edward A. Christensen, III and Brian and Laurie Christensen; two nieces and several nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Viola Hayes; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Kelly Hayes and Mirenda Strain and Scott Behrens.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private graveside services with military honors will be officiated by Rev. Mike Proctor.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dallas Edwards, Dustin Cox, Camaron Cox, Tristan Cox, Ben Fuller, Troy McDaniels, and Michael Hayes, Jr.
