He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, and worked 40 years for Dupont. William served in the Army National Guard for 4 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and especially loved time spent with family. He was a great artist and carpenter.
William is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Heintschel; two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Heintschel; daughter, Terri Heintschel; daughter, Pam Hoskins and her husband Robert Hoskins; son, Gary Heintschel and his wife Manon; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild on the way in March; brother, Robert Heintschel and his wife Faye of Pasadena, TX; sister, Jane Newsom and her husband Charlie of Highlands, TX; sister, Mary Ann Alpha of Baytown, TX; brother-in-law, D. A. Wheeler and his wife Deborah of Baytown, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday November 9, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home 2444 Rollingbrook Drive Baytown, Texas 77521, with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 pm in Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
