William Paul Swick Sr.

William “Paul” Swick, Sr., 92, of Baytown, TX, went to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 5, 2014. He was born in Dublin, TX on January 27, 1921 the son of Charles Albert Swick and Martha Elizabeth Swick. Paul was in the Army and Air Force during World War II, and returned to Baytown, TX in which he worked for Humble Oil Refinery for 37 years. His favorite past times were gardening and fishing, and he was also a member of the American Legion post 323.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as 6 siblings.He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Grace LaVergne Swick,married on May 14, 1941; 2 Daughters, Martha Ann Haynes and husband Larry and Judy Lavern Treude and husband Buster; her son William Paul Swick, Jr. and wife Mary; 8 grandchildren, Douglas and Dennis Haynes, Tricia Streitmann, Paula Boswell, Diana Beebe, Debbie Schmadl, Kate and Tyler Swick; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Boswell, Michael Streitmann, James Schmadl, Tyler Swick, Douglas Haynes, and John Streitmann.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Earthman Funeral Home, and will be officiated by Charles Swick. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
