Willie Jo Solis

Willie Jo Solis, 84, of Baytown was born October 5, 1925 in Ganado, TX and passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at her home. She was an active lifelong member of First Christian Church. She graduated from the first LVN nursing class at Lee College and was a retired LVN. She enjoyed playing bridge and dominos and loved traveling all over the world with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hub and Fannie Fulcher; husband, Russell C. Solis; and brothers, Thomas James ""Buddy"" Fulcher and Buford Fulcher. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Randy Calhoun of Greenville, SC, Theresa and Chris Shemwell of New Braunfels and Sandy and John Scheurich of Crosby; sisters, Sybil Latham and Annie M. Perkins and sister-in-law, Donya Fulcher, all of Baytown; grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Crystal Calhoun, Kristen and Jimmy Collins, Jason and Brittany Boyd and Ashlan and Alissa Scheurich; great grandchildren, Austin Calhoun and Charlotte Collins; and her beloved dog, Lucky.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Dees officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Calhoun, Chris Shemwell, Jason Boyd, Chris Calhoun, John Scheurich and Jimmy Collins.
