Words cannot express what Aunt Bob meant to me. I will always remember the great times our families shared together in Carbon. I can still hear her voice....."now Kelly.....now Kayla". I remember the times all us cousins would be sleeping on a mattress in the floor and giggling. Both Mom and Aunt Bob would yell out to us, threatening they were going to get out bed and we'd be sorry if that happened. She could be hard strong on the outside, yet so loving, kind and caring. I will never forget the way she sent a card to Mom everyday when she was in the hospital and nursing home for extended periods of time. Mom's face would light up when we would walk into her room carrying Aunt Bob's card of the day. She gave Mom much strength when she was weak and courage to continue on when she felt all was loss. After Mom passed, she became my "touchstone" to Mom. She was a beautiful person. I admired her strength and courage to overcome life's obstacles, along with her enduring faith. I will miss her dearly, but am very happy that her and Mom have each other again. Uncle Jim, Kelly and Kayla, I'm holding you close in my heart and sending prayers that you will find comfort in knowing how special she was to not only me, but many others. Sending my love and prayers to all of you and your families.
I love you with all my heart.

I have so many childhood memories of Barbara, Jim, Kelly & Kayla. My family lived across the street them on South 16th Street in Nederland. Barbara & Jim were my second parents. My heart hurts for this loss of Barbara. When my son, Travis, passed away, I remember them coming to the visitation & Barbara hugging me & saying, "Gi, (my nickname as a child), it's going to be all right. You know he's with your Daddy. I love you ". My memories of Barbara are deep within my heart & my prayers will be with Jim, Kelly & Kayla. I love y'all very much.

I have countless wonderful memories R.C. And I were privileged to share with Barbara and Jim. Many were in our home, their home and Nevada and Charles Brison, Sylvan and Jewel Clark, John and Helen Lewis, Hazel & Charles Hudgins and all of the families. We shared good food, many laughs, fun times and some sad ones too. I feel sadness at the realization of how time changes all things. Thankfully our hope stands firm in our promise we will all be rejoined together!
Love , condolences, and prayers Jim, Kelly, Kayla and all of your sweet family. Glenda (Clark) Dickey.
