Billie Kury

Born on March 13, 1931, in Elkhart, Texas, Billie was the daughter of James Monroe Meredith and Lottie (Jones) Meredith. She had a lifelong love for decorating and gardening—her home looked like a page out of Better Homes and Gardens.

Billie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Splendora, where she found strength and community through her faith. She will be remembered for her creativity, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with others.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudy Kury; both parents; and all of her siblings. Billie is survived by her daughter, Rena Glover; grandchildren, Laura Reyes and Casey Reyes; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Billie’s warmth, grace, and eye for beauty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Billie's ashes were laid to rest by her loving husband, Rudy on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
