Brenda J Whitworth

Born on December 30, 1940, in Beaumont, Brenda was the daughter of the late Marion “Cotton” Richard Spoonemore and Elsie “Nita” Juanita (Saxon) Spoonemore. She lived a life centered on family, love, and devotion to those she held dear.

Brenda enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Her grandsons were her whole world, and she took great joy in being a loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Beverly Schmidt; her beloved grandsons, Justin Anderson and Jason Anderson; and her brothers-in-law, Melvin Schmidt and Mel Sparks.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Donna Anderson and James McGrew Jr.; her sisters, Shirley Sparks and Debbie Parker; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Cremation services are under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. An inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the Halls of Serenity Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Brenda's love, warmth, and devotion to her family will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
