Carolynn Cudd Boyett, 88, a longtime resident of Brookeland, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1937, in Beaumont, Texas, to the late D.O. Cudd and Elvie O. (White) Cudd.
Carolynn was a devoted member of Sam Rayburn Baptist Church for many years, where she faithfully served on both the finance and flower committees. Her generous spirit, strong faith, and warm heart were evident in all she did.
Carolynn enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing, but especially treasured spending time with her dear friends over lunch. Her greatest passion, however, was gardening. She was known for her meticulous and vibrant yard, which she tended to with love and pride. Her green thumb and eye for beauty brought joy to all who visited her home.
Above all, Carolynn was a loving mother, proud MawMaw, and cherished friend. Her strength, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James A. Boyett, William Terrell, R.D. Halbrook, and Jerry Boudreaux; sister, Barbara Gene Boyett; and a granddaughter, Kristen Boyett.
Left to honor her memory are her children, Wyatt Boyett and wife Julie, Connie Hood and husband Dan, and Kevin Boyett; grandchildren, Kelli LeBeouf and husband Damon, Kimberly Parfait and husband Kyle, Charisa Green and husband David, Amber Boyett, Stephanie Powell and husband David, Megan Robinson and husband Donnie, and Mackenzie Boyett; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Carolynn's legacy of love, strength, and beauty lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.
