She was preceded in death by her parents, Zolan Berson Thornton and Lucille (Majors) Thornton of Lumberton, Texas; brother Jimmy Bert Thornton of Wildwood; brother Glen Harold Thornton and wife Shirley Thornton of Gun Barrel City; nephews Andy and Austin Thornton of Wildwood; and niece Glynda Thornton Anderson of Fannett.
She is survived by husband Gary Lynn Rutledge of Lumberton; daughter Wendy Leigh Weymouth Ward of Deer Park; bonus son John Rutledge and wife Diana of Silsbee; grandson Colin Dayne Ward and fiancé Bekah of Kingwood; and grandson Gavin Reece Ward of Deer Park.
