

He was born on February 9, 1934 in Beaumont, Texas, to the late Homer Allen Royse Sr. and Ruth Naomi (Hammond) Royse.
Cecil proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, a service he considered one of the proudest accomplishments of his life.
On February 23, 1957, he married the love of his life, Velma "Maxine" Royse. Together they shared 69 years of marriage and raised three sons.
Cecil enjoyed painting and was a talented artist who created everything from abstract works to portraits. He also worked at Mobil Oil for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Royse and Homer Allen "H.A." Royse; and son, Mark Royse.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Maxine Royse; sons, Gary Royse and Paul Royse and wife LeAnne; grandchildren, Lexi Royse, Gage Royse, Shelby Royse, Tyler Royse, Brooke Hevron and husband Tanner, and Devin Royse and wife Monica; one great-grandchild on the way, numerous other great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Nina DeLeon and her son Adrian Garcia, and many other family members and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
