Charles enjoyed reading, singing, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and the LSU Tigers.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, on December 20, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A celebration of Charles's life will begin at 10:00 am. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Griffin, Sr. and Lucille Osborn Griffin.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Janet Griffin of Beaumont, sons James McCarter of Beaumont, and Ray Damone Williams of Buffalo, NY., brother Joseph Griffin, Jr., grandchildren Joshua Nixon, Cori McCarter, Jordon McCarter, Latoya Barton, Akera Reed, and a host of great grandchildren.
Charles will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
