Chuck was born on June 9, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late John Franklin Moon and Mildred Katherine (Bahil) Moon. A proud Vietnam veteran, he served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
On September 30, 2000, Chuck married the love of his life, Emma, and together they shared nearly 25 wonderful years of love, laughter, and memories.
Chuck was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time tinkering in his shed and took great pride in maintaining his yard, always ensuring it looked its best. He had a deep appreciation for good Mexican food and especially loved dancing to Tejano music, with Joe Lopez among his favorite artists. An animal lover at heart, Chuck once raised Labrador retrievers and shared his home and heart with many beloved family dogs over the years.
He was known for his impressive gun collection, his fondness for a good, stiff glass of Jack Daniels, and his vibrant personality. Chuck was fun-loving, kind-hearted, and a natural conversationalist who never met a stranger. He had a gift for making people laugh and always left those around him smiling.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Emma Moon; his children: Jimmy Moon and wife Ofelia, Darla Moon, Bryant Price, Angelica Lopez, Franklin Lopez, Yadira Cortes, Nayeli Cortes, and Rosa Temoxtle; his brothers, Joe Moon and John “Skip” Moon; numerous grandchildren; and the cherished family dogs.
Chuck was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
