Charles Edward Walton, 74, of Kountze, died Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Voth, he and his family moved to Beaumont, where he attended French High School, and eventually moved to Kountze where he has resided for the last 21 years. Charles was a member of UA union #195 & 211 in Nederland. Charles traveled all over the lower 48 states for 45 years, working as a pipe fitter and instrument fitter, and was forced to retire due to health problems in 2015. Charlie was a man who loved his family, and loved spending time with them. His favorite holiday was Christmas, which he shared with his wife Marie's favorite holiday. He was a big kid at heart (had to play with all the toys before the kids on Christmas). Charles also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting when he had time. Charles enjoyed very much going to the casino and also enjoyed building model airplanes and flying them with his family.
Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the funeral home.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Grace Marie Walton, brother Pete Walton, his parents, Lester Thomas and Sadie Ruth Walton, Grandma/Grandpa.
Charles is survived by his 2 sons, Michael Andrew Walton and his wife Misty, Derek Christopher Walton and his wife Mandy, his step-daughter, Kimberly Roane and her husband Kristian, two step-sons, Raymond Ratley and wife Sharon, James Ratley and wife April, his grandchildren, Brytni Walton, Joshua Walton, Stephanie Ratley, Brenden Ratley, and Kamryn Roane, Kendra Hendricks, and Lydia Ratley, his great grandchildren, Braxton, Joshua, Jr., and Nikolas, brother Donald Walton, sister Barbara Wolfe, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
