Charlotte Kay Reviea of Beaumont, Texas, went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 30, 1946, to Arthur L. and Irma Cleo (Sapp) Reviea.
Charlotte was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. She believed in the power of prayer and prayed daily for each of her family members. In her earlier years, Charlotte invested much of her time sewing for her family and for herself, creating everything from Christmas ornaments to teddy bears to women’s and girls’ dresses, and even men’s suits. She was an excellent baker and found joy in sharing her gift with others. She also loved spending time in her garden and could make anything grow.
Charlotte loved God and she loved her church. She served many years in the church choir and as a children’s Sunday School teacher, and she was involved with the prayer ministry and several others. She graduated from French High School in 1964 then went to Lamar University, graduating in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She inherited a strong work ethic from her parents and held a career in accounting for 50 years.
.
Along with her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Reviea Bowers, and her brother, Arthur Glen Reviea. She will be missed by her sister-in-law, Rebecca E. Broadway Reviea; nieces, Karen Bowers and Leah Reviea Higgins (Aaron); nephews, Joshua K. Reviea (Vanessa) and Jacob K. Reviea (Kelly); great-nieces, Malorie J. Reviea and Britton E. Higgins; great-nephews Tobyn J.T. Reviea, Aaron G. Higgins and John August Reviea; and many cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Woodland Baptist Church (1860 W. Lucas, Beaumont, Texas) on Saturday 22 February at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to Woodland Baptist Church (designate for Operation Christmas Child), The Navigators (navigators.org) or Multiplying Hope (multiplyinghope.org).
