It is with great sadness that the family of Cody Ray Kendrick announces his passing after a motorcycle accident on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the age of 20. Cody was born on May 19, 1997 to Emma Finkenbiner in Beaumont.
Cody had a bright and charming smile that could brighten up a room. He had a fearless lovable soul whose free spirit would seek adventure behind every corner stone in life. At times he would portray a tough guy, but we all knew deep down inside he had a soft spot. Cody was a very determined and outgoing person with a very compassionate heart. He had a passion for fast bikes and racing. He was mechanically inclined and was even rebuilding the engine of his Del Sol. He loved everything about the outdoors and was always going camping or fishing. He was a caring, loving father and will forever live in our hearts as a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend. Rest easy until we meet again. We Love You!
He is survived by his mother, Emma Finkenbiner and stepfather Jorge Sanchez of Beaumont; sisters, Felicia Finkenbiner of Vidor, and Ciara Kendrick of Beaumont; brother Mark Finkenbiner, Jr. of Vidor; his children, Mia and Cody Kendrick, Jr. of Mauriceville; grandparents, Martha and James Kendrick and Mary and Luis Carreon of Beaumont; nephews, Dreyden and Shaddix Miranda, Axl Torres of Beaumont; nieces, Haylen Torres and Cheveyl Kendrick of Beaumont and many cousins.
Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, April 15, from 5:00 PM to 7:00pm.
A Celebration of Cody Ray Kendrick's Life will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont on Monday, April 16, at 4:00pm, officiated by Brother Kevin.
