David Corley 71, a lifelong resident of the Port Arthur, Beaumont and Kountze areas passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018 in Beaumont. David was born on May 19, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas to his parents Travis Rex Corley and Fannie Bell Porter Corley who preceded him in death. David is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years: Charlaine Corley of Kountze, son: Mark Diaz and wife Mary Ann of Mauriceville, brother: Dennis Corley and wife Lisa of Beaumont, sister: Sandra Lopez and husband John of Houston, granddaughter Lauren Diaz.
David was a Baptist by faith and a homemaker who during his lifetime drove for the KCS Railroad, loved gardening, cooking, doing body and fender work on vehicles, carpentry, being with his dogs, and most of all especially loved getting together with family. David proudly served in the United States Army in Viet Nam with a rank of SP5 (T).
A Celebration of David’s life will be a graveside service on Monday April 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
