David was a longtime resident of Beaumont. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Reed graduated from Lamar University. Mr. Reed retired from OxyChem in Beaumont where he worked as a Maintenance Manager among other roles.
Mr. Reed is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Reed and Estine, brothers, Christopher and Jack Reed.
Survivors include wife and best friend of 51 years, Ella Reed, brother, J.B. Reed of San Augustine, nephew, Kyle Reed and wife Elizabeth of Groves, nephew Joe Reed and wife Jennifer, nephew Jason Reed and wife Vickie, and great nieces and nephews.
David will be missed tremendously by his loving family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 11th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with a Chapel service to follow at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment following will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery.
