Dorothy was born on May 24, 1925 in Beaumont, Texas. She was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church for 60 years and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Elbert Rountree, her mother, Anna Belle Lambert, her son, John Earl Ward, and her husband, Earl James (E.J.) Ward.
She is survived by her brother, Harold Rountree, niece, Lorinda Rountree and Bill Modica, Nephews, Gene Rountree, Landry and wife, Sharon Rountree, Dennis and wife, Tammy Rountree, Kevin Bjork, eighteen great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Besser officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Forest lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Wesley United Methodist Church of Beaumont or a charity of your choice.
