Edna Lucille "Pope" Westmoreland, 89, of Beaumont, died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Spindletop Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, Edna was a French High School Graduate where she played Cello and Trumpet. She went on to graduate from Chenier Business College and was office manager with the Lower Neches Valley Authority for 34 years of faithful service before retiring in 1986. Edna and her husband Ted were avid water skiers and members of The First Neches Ski Club. Ted even hand built their boat, "Tedna". Edna enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, and spoiling her grandchildren. She also loved her animals, and spending time with her husband outdoors in the garden and traveling. Edna was just an all around good and loving lady.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Vera Hall Pope, brothers Glenn Arnold Pope, and Walter Edward Pope.
Edna is survived by her husband Theodore Westmoreland, daughter, Tammi Choate, grandchildren, Whitney Choate, Chris Baker and wife Tiffany Melancon, great grandchildren, Raven Aycock, Alexandra Melancon, Wesley Rinebold, Hannah Baker, and Gavin Baker.
