Edward Darwin Halfin, 87, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Bonne Vie Nursing and Rehab in Port Arthur. A native of Port Arthur, Edward was a longtime resident of Port Arthur before moving to Beaumont 14 years ago. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. Edward was retired from the City of San Pedro and the State of California. Edward enjoyed traveling, being with friends, and reading. Edward also loved food and dancing.
A Celebration Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont all under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents C.D. Halfin and Anna Belle Wiltz Urwin, and by his sister Betty Jo Richey.
Edward is survived by many loved ones, friends and his special friend Edna Beard.
