Ernest Frank "Skipper" Dunwoody, 78, of Orange, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Orange for 40 years and was Owner-Operator of Dunwoody Trucking. Skipper was an avid World of Outlaws and Nascar Fan, and especially spending time with his family.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
A Celebration Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Linda Dunwoody; his father Ernest Guy Dunwoody and his mother Gordia Bookout Dunwoody.
Ernest is survived by his son Andrew Dunwoody and his wife Jessie, and step-son Adam Canty all of Orange, Texas; daughters Amanda Dunwoody and her husband Greg of Mauriceville, Texas; and Robin Coonrod and her husband James of Central Point, OR., his brother Eddie Dunwoody of Vidor, Texas; his grandchildren, Cayden Dunwoody, Raygen Dunwoody, Kylie Goodman, Katie Dunwoody and children, Cassandra Coonrod and children, and Ashley Coonrod.
Skipper will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
