Ethel V. Harris age 96, of Brownsboro Park Retirement Community in Louisville, passed away January 25, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital. She was born in New York City, NY on December 26, 1916 to the late George and Anna Varza. She was a member of Westport Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Houston.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Floyd L. Harris; six siblings; and a son-in-law, C.J. Colby Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Florence Colby; grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Colby, Melissa Pendleton, Michele (Michael) Ellis; great-granchildren, Harley and Tucker Colby, Jacob and Jessica Pendleton and Matthew and Megan Ellis.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00-11:30, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
