Evangelina "Angie" Flores

Evangelina "Angie" Flores, 75, of Beaumont, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Beaumont on December 17, 1949 to Paul and Herlinda Flores, Angie brought light and joy into the lives of everyone who knew her.

A 1968 graduate of Beaumont High School, Angie spent nearly five decades dedicating her life to caring for others as a valued member of the Baptist Hospital family. Her favorite time at Baptist was spent at Sniffles and Sneezes were she enjoyed taking care of every child and treated them like her own. Her kindness and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the countless patients she served. Angie retired in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and friendship.

Angie had a natural warmth and a love for children, and children loved her. Her sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. She was a huge fan of her favorite soap "Young and the Restless" and the Hallmark Channel. Angie loved Dr. Pepper, Sweet Tea and anything fried. Angie was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet - not a mean bone in her body-.

She is deeply missed by her loving family: her sisters, Lou Conner of McKinney, Paula Orozco and her husband Tino of Lumberton, and Linda Holland of Kentucky; her brother, Paul Flores, Jr., and his wife Marcella of Village Mills; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.

Though Angie is no longer with us, her kindness, love, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, January 17 , 2025 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Glady's Avenue, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
