Evelyn was married to Woodrow Wilson Payne, Sr. Evelyn has one half sister, Zelda Caine.
Evelyn is preceded by her husband Woodrow W. Payne, Sr., two brothers, A.J. and Robert (Lobby) Cormier and two sisters, Edith Kara and Teresa Franklin, also one grandson, Robert Payne.
She is survived by her nine children, Wanda Hyskell, Mary Marks, Evelyn Feaster, Woodrow W. Payne, Jr., Cornelious B. Payne, Charles Clyde Payne, Nelda Dawson, Martha Shafer and Nina Payne. Evelyn has twenty-five grandchildren, sixty-three great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 29th, 2016, for 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Beaumont, followed by a Chapel service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery, following Chapel services.
