Florence E. Delaney

Florence Evelyn Britt was born on September 8, 1942, in Murfreesboro Township, Hertford County, North Carolina, to the late William Edward and Gracie Marie Britt. Florence departed this earthly realm on February 12, 2024, at age 81. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, David Britt, and an infant child, Rachel Delaney. She is survived by four brothers, Clifton (Christine) Britt, Bruce Britt, Kindred (Krystal) Britt, and Ernest (Juanita) Britt, all of North Carolina; four sisters, Barbara Johnson and Mildred (the late Richard) Hastings of Pennsylvania, Bernice (Andrew) Brown of North Carolina, and Darleen Sanford of Virginia; her husband, Arthur Delaney, Jr.; five children, Yolonda Delaney (the late Wesley Harrison), Angeleni (the late Reginald) Wallace, Arthur Delaney, III, Solomon (Mary) Delaney, Sr., and Cecelia Delaney, all of Texas; a blend of seven grandchildren, eight siblings, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her church family. While here on earth, she fought a good fight of faith, always happy to witness or testify to someone, and she enjoyed fellowship and worship at church with the saints. Florence is now done with the troubles of this world.
