Born on February 6, 1933, in Rye, Texas Frances “Fran” Evelyn Carder was the daughter of the late Clyde Primrose and Leavie (McDonald) Primrose.
Fran was a devoted member of the Dowlen Road Church of Christ in Beaumont, where she faithfully served her Lord.
Her faith was the foundation of who she was and guided the way she loved, served, and cared for others.
Fran found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing, traveling, reading, and in her younger years, spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and garden. She was known for her quick wit, caring heart, and the genuine interest she took in the lives of those around her. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome, loved, and valued.
More than any hobby or pastime, Fran’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every opportunity to gather with those she loved, creating traditions and memories that will continue to be shared for generations to come.
Known affectionately as “Grandma Fran,” she leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her family. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged them through life’s challenges, and loved them unconditionally.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 49 years, Ray Carder; her son, Mike Carder; her brothers, Clyde O. Primrose and Jack Primrose; and her sisters, Lilly Carr, Faye Barry, Dixie Cowart, and Shirley Wilson.
