Frances Jeanette Greer, 75, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Born on December 12, 1949, in Geneva County, Alabama, she was the cherished daughter of the late Daniel Alto Smith and Sarah Ann Smith.
At just 16 years old, Frances married the love of her life, David Woodrow Greer, and together they spent the next 54 years building a life grounded in love, faith, and family. In 1975, they made their home in Beaumont, where Frances poured her entire heart and faith into building a home for her family.
Frances enjoyed food – all of it, but Mexican food was her very favorite. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, football, and dirt track races. Frances had a love for music, particularly the Highway to Heaven series and traditional gospel hymns that nourished her spirit. She never met a stranger and made it her mission to love deeply and openly wanting to just love on everybody.
Her unwavering faith and love for God were the foundations of her strength and joy.
Those awaiting her in heaven include her beloved husband, David Greer; her parents, Daniel and Sarah Smith; and her sister, Ruby Raborn.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and many special memories in the hearts of her children, Cindy Harrison and bonus son Patrick Harrison, Daniel Greer and bonus daughter Courtney Greer, and Christopher Greer and bonus daughter Stephanie Greer; grandchildren, Taylor Mathis, Theresa Talor, Matthew Mathis, Taylor Greer, Katelynn Greer, and Brayden Greer; her sisters and their spouses, Martha Roney, Mary Bright, Diane Sellers, and Bessie Richards; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved and adored her.
Frances Jeanette Greer was a strong, courageous woman of faith who lived to serve her family and glorify God. Her warmth, humor, and unshakeable love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
