George died Wednesday, March 14, 1984 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness.
A lifelong resident of the Beaumont-Port Arthur Area, he was owner of George Loukas Stores, Inc., operating the Cubicle and Naturalizer Shoe Stores.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Loukas of Beaumont; two daughters, Terri Loukas Rabalais of Beaumont and Debra Loukas Mallaber of Van Nuys, Calif.; mother, Louise Loukas of Port Arthur; four brothers, Demetrius Loukas of Austin, Arthur Loukas of Houston, and Steve Loukas and Johnny Loukas both of Port Arthur; five sisters, Gladys Myers, Sophia Loukas, Penny Loukas and Katherine Bazar, all of Port Arthur and Janet Spann of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
