A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Silsbee since 2012, and worked for the City of Beaumont and then Watkins Construction before he retired as a self-employed painter.
Harold proudly served his country in The United States Navy during WWII.
Harold enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed feeding the birds, fishing, hunting, and being with his family.
A Celebration Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Abe and Mattie Tackett Jones, Sr., his loving wife Dorothy Jones, brothers Charlie Jones, Jr., Paul Edward Jones, and his sister Juanita Fredieu.
Harold is survived by his sons Harold Jones, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Houston, Royce Jones and his wife Penny of Silsbee, Douglas Jones of Dallas, Michael Jones and his wife Carolyn of Lubbock, daughters Sue Heufelder and her husband Ronnie of Lumberton, and Patricia Mossburg of Silsbee, brother Danny Mason Clark of NW of Jasper, twelve grandchildren, Jason, Nicki, Kelly, Cindy, Jimmy, Bryan, Donovan, Katy, Justin, Johnny, Sheri, and Sheila. He is also survived by his sixteen great grandchildren.
Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
