Helen Elizabeth Moreland Crawford

Helen Elizabeth Moreland Crawford, 95, a lifelong resident of Vidor, passed away on Friday July 3, 2015 in Vidor. Helen was born September 3, 1919 in Beaumont, Texas to her parents Victor E. and Ruby A. Bujard Moreland, Sr. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Crawford, daughter Kay Yeager, and brother Victor Ed Moreland, Jr. She was a retired registered nurse with the Lamar University Health Center. Helen was also a homemaker who enjoyed baking for family especially for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She often played Bingo at the Senior Center in Beaumont and at Easter time she worked diligently with helping the kids with their numerous parade activities. Helen was a faithful member of The First United Methodist Church of Vidor. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Crawford and wife Frances of Vidor, Ralph Crawford and wife Betty of Plano, son-in-law, Lee Yeager of Orange, seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 6:00 P.M – 8:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Forest lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
