Reverend Ira O’Neil Humphries, Jr. 66, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born on February 2, 1947 in Beaumont. He was preceded in death by his mother Susie Ann Humphries. In his childhood years he loved sports and fishing. Rev. Humphries was an Assembly of God minister and attended Victory Temple in Beaumont. He also was a welder for Local 195. Surviving Ira are his father, Ira O. Humphries, Sr., sisters: Phyllis Weatherford of Beaumont and Janice Earl of Orange and a host of several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont with visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time.
