Isaac Newton Fisher born April 19, 1922 passed away February 13, 2016. He was ninety- three. His visitation will be Monday February 15, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Marie Whitman, McKeller Fisher, in 2005; his mother, Minnie Mae Goff Fisher; his father, William F. Fisher, his brothers, Billy and James fisher; and his sister Carolyn Fisher.
He is survived by five children, fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. His daughter, Wanda Smith of Beaumont, TX; and four sons: Jerry McKeller and wife Jimmie Sue of Burnet, TX ; Charles Ray McKeller and wife Becky of Pflugerville, TX; Jimmy McKeller and wife Claudia of Nome, TX; Wayne McKeller and wife Sandy of Orange, TX. He has one remaining brother Russell Fisher and wife Mary Belle of Lumberton, TX; As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
His grandchildren: Grover Cleveland Smith II and family from Winnie, Wiley McKeller and family from Columbiana, AL; Melissa Bates and family from Vidor, Kristen Murdock and family from Bridge City, Christopher McKeller and family from Port Neches, Leslie McKeller from West Hollywood, CA; Cary McKeller from Kyle, TX; Laine McKeller and family From Mont Belvieu, Charles Smith and family from Deridder, LA; Justin McKeller and family from Lumberton, Tyler McKeller and family from Jemison, AL; Brian McKeller and family from Lake Jackson, Ryan McKeller and family from Pflugerville, TX; Patrick McKeller from Nome.
Mr. Fisher served in the United States Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Hambleton DD-455 and was a long time member of the International Ironworker local 135. After retirement, he spent as much time as possible fishing and tending to his garden. He loved tinkering, building bird houses and squirrel feeders, mowing his yard, and fixing things – all of which he enjoyed until the very end. The family will always find comfort knowing Paw Paw Fisher has got his eyes on them.
