James Henry “Jim” Boucher Jr., age 74, lifelong resident of Beaumont, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born September 13, 1950, in Illinois to the late James Henry Boucher Sr. and Betty (Lundy) Boucher.
Jim was known by many titles: Dad, Brother, Poppy, Uncle, and to those who knew him best—the Cookie Monster. He had a legendary sweet tooth and a firm belief that no cookie should go uneaten. If there was a dessert table at a gathering, you could count on Jim to be nearby. Also a proud Navy veteran, Jim served his country with dedication and humility. Jim also had a lifelong love and passion for cars and racing - his favorite hobby. He was often a man of few words, but his presence was steady, comforting, and kind. He never needed to be the loudest voice in the room but his warmth, humor, and gentle spirit spoke volumes.
Jim is now reunited with his parents; his brother, Joe Boucher; first wife, Patricia Vincent Boucher, and second wife Pamela Jones Boucher. He leaves behind a loving family: his children, Christina Duhon and husband Trevor, James “Jimmy” Boucher III and wife Baleigh; his stepchildren, Shon Jones and wife Christy, Crystal Jones; grandchildren, Robert Duhon, Deion Jones and wife Haley, Gunner Jones and wife Jocelyn, Georgia Jones, Kaylie Smith, Brandan Brown and fiancée Lauren Champion, Gage Vice, baby boy on the way, Adam Duhon; sister, Diane Boucher and wife Carol; niece, Tanya Boucher; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Jim will be remembered for his mild-mannered kindness, warm sense of humor, and most of all, the deep love he held for life and family. Jim’s legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
