James ""Bubba" Warren Cowart Jr.
November 17, 1949 – January 21, 2023

James Warren "Bubba" Cowart, Jr., 73, of Hemphill, died Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill. A native of Beaumont, Bubba was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Burkeville 3 years ago. James proudly served his country in The United States Navy. Bubba enjoyed fishing and hunting, he was a jack of all trades and loved piddling and tinkering around with things in and around his home, he loved his family and would help anyone who needed it.
A Celebration of James's life will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A Gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the funeral home.
Bubba was preceded in death by his parents James W. Cowart, Sr., and Anna Marie LeBlanc Cowart.
Bubba is survived by his loving wife Peggie Cowart of Burkeville, sisters, Ruth Tammen, Mary Menifee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bubba will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
