James Michael Perrio

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and celebrate the life of a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest joys were found in the simple things; casting a line, spending time outside, and being surrounded by his friends and family.

He loved to fish and could spend hours enjoying the peace and quiet, but more than anything, he loved his children and grandchildren. Mike’s family was his pride and joy and the memories they shared with him will be treasured forever.

He will be remembered for the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the special moments that made him who he was to those who knew and loved him.

Whether he was fishing or spending time with his kids, his presence brought a smile to everyone's face, and his presence brought comfort, safety, and happiness to his family.

Though his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, his love will continue to live on in his children and grandchildren and in every memory they hold close to their hearts.

He was deeply loved, and he will be forever missed.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. When anyone misses him, just close your eyes and look up to the sky and you will see him fishing in heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Dixon Perrio and Ethel Lee Lusk; sisters, Sherry Ann Perrio, and Theresa Lynn Perrio.

Mike is survived by his children, Shawna Landry and husband Charles, Shannon Higginbotham and husband Chip, Mike Perrio and wife Amber; grandchildren, Cooper Perrio, Sophia Landry, Greyson Perrio, Jackson Perrio, Ethan Richard; sister, Alive Perrio Gault; brother, Eugene Perrio; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
