

Kelly enjoyed fishing, golf, coaching, duck hunting, being an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. He spent many happy moments 4-wheeler riding, where he created the Texas Mud Subs 4 wheeler group.
Kelly is a loving and devoted father, a charismatic and loyal friend and a dog lover. His chocolate labs Sadie and Jake, were two of the best friends he ever had.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be held for his immediate family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont following his visitation.
Kelly was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Thousand, Jr., and his brother, George Abshire.
Kelly is survived by his son, James Kelly Thousand, Jr., daughters, Addison Rayne Thousand, and Pyper Finely Thousand along with their mother Gail Prettyman all of Orange; his mother, Veronica Abshire of Beaumont, sisters, Laurie Heaton of Hanford, CA., Charlee Thousand of Fayetteville, NC., Raven Thousand of Dallas, and Summer Thousand of Austin, his step-children Bishop Tumlinson, Chloe Prettyman, and Joshua Prettyman along with numerous nieces, nephews and one great niece.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Kelly's honor through The American Cancer Society or Ducks Unlimited.
