James “Bud” Windham, passed away peacefully at his home with his family and friends by his side on May, 12, 2012. He was born March 28, 1929, in Bangs, TX to Roger and Ina Windham. He married Leta “Jerri” Vardeman on March 25, 1949, and together they raised one daughter. Bud and Jerri were married for 55 years until her death in 2004. In 2007, Bud married his present wife, Becky Thaggard. Bud worked for Mobil Chemical for 38 years and retired as a production supervisor in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Becky, of Beaumont, daughter Janice Locke, granddaughter Leta Mitchell, great-granddaughter, Malerie Hooks, sisters Edith Huebner and Bobby Dean, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
