Jesse Ross Andress, 56, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at home in Houston. He was born July 23, 1963 in Beaumont, Texas to RB “Red” Andress and Loretta Luquette Andress. He graduated from Lumberton High School and attended Lamar University. He worked for several different EPC companies on projects taking him to jobsite locations throughout the USA and Venezuela. Jesse grew up in Beaumont and Lumberton prior to relocating to Houston.
Jesse was married to his best friend and loving partner for nineteen years, Emma Garza. He was a wonderful loving caring husband, brother, uncle and friend who was well liked by all. Jesse loved playing his guitar, singing and fishing. He was a loving grandparent of three and was always willing to help so many with the gifts of his talents and his time. He was always there to lend an ear to those in need and he will be deeply missed by all.
Jesse was preceded in death by his loving parents; father RB “Red” Andress, in August 2010 and mother Loretta Luquette Andress, in March 2015, and his beautiful sister Gail Teresa Mathews, in December 1998.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Emma Garza of Houston, Texas (her two sons Sampson Gonzales and Joshua Barelas) and a stepdaughter Ana Urbano Andress. His brother Riley Bryan Andress and his wife Jewel of Kyle, Texas (with four nieces and nephews Amanda Kerley, Audrey Miller, Ross Allen and Ryan Andress). His brother, Allen Andress and his wife Gloria of Magnolia, Texas (with a niece and nephew Austin Andress and Alyssa Long). His nephew, Doug Gypins of Beaumont, Texas and 8 grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all relatives and close family friends who have visited and contacted the family with support over the difficult days since the passing of our loved one.
There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony on August 8, 2020 at 10:00am in the Chapel at Forest Lawn followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The address is:
