Jesse grew up in Beaumont, Texas and graduated from Central Senior High School in May of 1987. He attended Lamar University where he studied mass communications. Jesse started his career in radio in the late 80's at KYAC "KC" AM, then working for KZZB "B-95" FM, KQXY "94-Q" FM, KAYD "KD-97" FM and finally, iHeartRadio.
Jesse Block was a gentle giant who was devoutly dedicated to the people he cared about. He was described as being a pleasure to work with and an all around wonderful guy. He was a sweet and kind soul, witty and wise and quick with a joke or clever comment and a talented walking plethora of knowledge.
Jesse was proceeded in death by his parents Nelda Fae and Ezra Earl Block and is survived by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday November, 21, 2021 from 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm at The Oaks Event Center located at 2110 S. Main in Vidor, Texas.
