Jesse Robert Mancil

Jesse Robert Mancil, 65, of Beaumont passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont. Jesse was born on May 26, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to his parents J.R. Mancil and Jaqlin Baker Mancil who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife Monica G. Mancil and his younger brother Jody Mancil. He has lived in Beaumont for the past eighteen years. He retired after twenty years of service as a boat captain where he supplied equipment to offshore rigs in the Marine Life Industry. Mr. Mancil served his country as a United States Army veteran in the Vietnam War with a rank as SP4. He had several distinct hobbies which included being an avid collector of guns, fishing, and metal detecting. He enjoyed collecting cars and tracing stories of history which included The Civil War, WWI and WWII. Mr. Mancil is survived by his daughter Jeannette Renee Mancil and her best friend Mark Spivey both of Newton, step-daughter Erlene Voigt of Cecilia, Kentucky, three brothers, Kenneth Mancil of Conroe, Douglas Mancil of Beaumont, and Fred Mancil and his wife Perri of Marble Falls, sisters Barbara Ann Mancil, Mary Ann Chastain of Brownwood and Billie Jean Mancil of Georgetown. Also surviving are three grandchildren Kayla Renee Davis of Ankeny, Iowa, Jessica Marie Davis of Newton, James Robert Davis of Newton and one great grandson Adian Smailbegovic of Ankeny, Iowa. Jesse is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends as well. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 28, 2013 from 12:00 noon until the funeral service which will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
