Jessica Marie Torres, 45, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Jessica was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, born to Dennis and Carolyn Bailey on October 15th, 1977. She met the love of her life, Paul, at a mere 14 years old. In Paul's words "One look, and it was over". They had their first child, Ashley in 1993 and Jessica later graduated from West Brook High School in 1996. Paul and Jessica were married in 1999, and had a second child, Cade, in 2002.
Jessica was known for being a caring person, always checking on, and being there for others, but never expecting anything in return. She was smart, funny, and never afraid to tell someone exactly what she was thinking, whether it was "nice" or not.
Throughout her life she experienced many illnesses, and fought so hard to overcome them.
Most recently, she enjoyed reading books, watching the birds (her cardinals), sending her loved ones Tik Toks, and listening to Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. But more than anything, Jessica enjoyed being "Yaya" to her grandbaby, Claira. The two had an inseparable bond that will be cherished by Claira.
A viewing for Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
